Jam Education Foundation The new Bakersfield Jam Events Center provides the Jam with a wide variety of resources that the franchise will use to serve the surrounding community in Bakersfield's Oildale district. Perhaps the most important way the team will do that is through the Bakersfield Jam Education Foundation. The Foundation is in the process of establishing an after school program for students from Oildale's Standard School District. The participating middle schoolers will be bused to the Events Center for a variety of afternoon activities involving Jam players and staff and focused on providing educational opportunities in an active, entertaining fashion. Community Relations Mission The Bakersfield Jam is strongly committed to making a positive impact in the community by working with corporate and community partners. The team's community outreach is especially aimed at serving youth and working with organizations whose primary focus is youth, education or the game of basketball.
